Can I just say that Javert is the best fucking character ever?

I just love him. All through the book/play/musical/whatever-incarnation-you-dig he’s like “I’M THE LAW AND BITCH THE LAW IS NOT MOCKED” and then Valjean gives him his life and he’s like “WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK MAN” and commits suicide.

I don’t know what it is, something about him and his ridiculously firm principles that get so shaken that he kills himself is just beautiful. I love it.
