I interrupt my re-watch of BBC Sherlock’s “A Scandal In Belgravia” to bring you this important news -

Martin Freeman telling Irene Adler’s assistant that he could “heartlessly abandon” his New Year’s plans is one of the sexiest things I have ever seen or heard.

Ever.

That is all.

OH. MY. DEAR. LORD.

The thing that upsets me the most is Sherlock’s ruined reputation. And John having to go out into the world everyday and knowing people are judging him. Thinking he’s an idiot, thinking he was played into thinking Sherlock Holmes was his best friend. And it hurts John because he wants the world to remember Sherlock as the amazing person he was. All while battling his own grief.

My heart broke when they reached for each other.  John will never love someone as much as he loves Sherlock; even when Sherlock dies no one can compete with him.  And Sherlock’s never quite loved somebody like he loves John.

I don’t care if you see it as romantic or not, but their love is undeniable and undefinable. It’s timeless.

Over 3 and a half hours later and I’m still not over it.

This was just so beautifully shot, so well-acted. Stunning all around. This relationship—this dynamic that’s been around for decades and decades, in literature and film and all sorts of adaptations—is dealt with so amazingly on Sherlock, better than I’ve probably ever seen.

Here we have Sherlock, a man who claims not to connect to anything but his work on a personal level, and John who hadn’t been able to really connect with anything until he met Sherlock. And here they are reaching out for each other in the end. These two do complete each other, let’s face it. However you look at it, that fact remains.

WHY CAN’T I HOLD ALL OF THESE FEELS

Oh mah GAWD I forgot how amazing Sherlock is.

Writing, acting, directing, just. Wow. Blew me away.

—HERE BE SPOILERS—

Loved Moriarty at the pool. I want more of him!

When they make references to the original stories I love Gatiss/Moffat. “The Speckled Blonde” “The Navel Treatment” “The Geek Interpreter” My nerd heart just swells with delight :)

Irene Adler is HAWT and smart (it’s the new sexy)

Oh the Christmas scene. Oblivious Sherlock is oblivious and HORRIBLE and poor Molly I just want to hug her so much.

Benedict Cumberbatch smoking is possibly the biggest turn on ever. Like…nothing has ever been that attractive. Before or since. Endgame.

In related news, Martin Freeman saying “nothing I couldn’t…heartlessly abandon” does frightening things to my ovaries.

Sherlock throwing a guy out a window because he hurt Mrs. Hudson. FUCK YES. Also loved Sherlock and John yelling at Mycroft for telling Mrs. Hudson to shut up.

[OK sidenote but that’s one thing I don’t like about BBC Sherlock - Mycroft is kind of a gigantic asshole. Or at least he has been in this episode. There’s nothing in the stories that makes him out to be a jerk - just really intelligent and lazy.]

Loooooove seeing Sherlock fail. Passcode is making me lol whenever he doesn’t get it. LOL he still didn’t get it. Shipping Sherlock/Irene real hard right about now.

“I would have you, right here, on this desk, until you begged for mercy twice.” GET IN MY BED IRENE ADLER HOLY SHIT. “I’ve never begged for mercy in my life.” HOW CAN CONVERSATION BE THIS HOT WHAT IS THIS MAGIC.

Plane scene. Holy shit. Like. WHAT. Irene is awesome. And my god Benedict Cumberbatch’s acting. When Irene walks by him and says “Not you, junior, you’re done now” the subtle pain in his face was just astounding. My god. He can act like nobody’s business.

“I am sherlocked” EEEEEEEEK GIRL YOU WANTED IT. “Sorry about dinner” oh SNAP Sherlock is so sassy.

“The woman. The woman.”

Long story short: GOD DAMN THIS SHOW IS AMAZING I’M SO GLAD IT’S BACK :D
